National Science Teachers Association

The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), founded in 1944 and headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, is the largest organization in the world committed to promoting excellence and innovation in science teaching and learning for all.

The National Board For Professional Teaching Standards

Our mission is to establish high and rigorous standards for what accomplished teachers should know and be able to do, to develop and operate a national, voluntary system to assess and certify teachers who meet these standards and to advance related education reforms for the purpose of improving student learning in American schools.

American Association of Physics Teachers

AAPT was initially formed over 60 years ago and continues its mission to "support the advancement of the physics education profession and the quality and effectiveness of physics education in the U.S. and throughout the World."

NABT

The National Association of Biology Teachers empowers educators to provide the best possible biology and life science education for all students.

NCATE

NCATE is the profession's mechanism to help establish high quality teacher preparation.
