After giving directions orally, have the student give directions back
Sequence content very carefully
Give LDs some hands on time, not just sitting and listening
Use talking books or peers to read to dyslexic students
Use paper-with-a-window-in-it for masking text during reading
Move students away from distractions--doors, windows, pencil sharpeners
