Notes:
1. Dendrite growth occurs when the environment is enriched.
2. By repeating learning experiences it is more likely that the neural pathway will become increasingly efficient. This occurs through the process of myelination. Myelin is a fatty substance that forms around axons that are well used.
3. Stimulation via new and novel situations, inviting creativity, posing challenging problems can all help produce beneficial electrical energy that leads to dendrite growth.
4. Educators control the conditions that will either support or hinder dendrite growth in our students.
5. See Marion Diamonds article and book. (link)
