While a childs early years at home are critical, schools have an incredible opportunity to enhance the development of young minds. This becomes an even more serious challenge to educators who work with children from impoverished or less supportive backgrounds.
Indeed, whether or not the student desks are arranged in permanent rows or in community-like clusters may support or undermine the opportunity for social skill development, fostering of tolerance and respect, or promoting the idea that learners are diverse in many positive and instructive ways.
