Today's short lecture and 50-minute video will be on visual impairments. Monday's session will have a video on learning disabities (review, not the same tape you saw before).
The due date for the Research Awareness Project has been moved from December 1 to December 3rd.
Go ahead and start looking over the Power Points 3023ch14.ppt, 3023ch15.ppt, and 3023ch16.ppt. These will comprise most of the class activities for next week.
We now have a way to access my Power Points and handouts from off campus in much the same way as if you had been on campus and within the Local Area Network. Either click ftp://tdata.atu.edu or paste this location into your browser. Either Netscape or Explorer will take you to that FTP area; from there, just go to swdata to find folders for the classes I teach.

Here is a sample of how to format the readings for class.
Special Dates for Class in Fall 2008
- First professional reading due September 10
- Test One likely by September 15
- Second reading due September 29
- Second test likely the week of October 13
- Third professional reading due October 22
- In-Class reports on adolescent development begin October 27. Each person should be ready to give his/her report at any time during the week.
- Fourth professional reading due November 3
- This time we will be doing two 2-page reports on low-incidence exceptionalities in lieu of the usual Test 3 takehome test. These are due November 12.
- Friendship/MiChild field trip December 1
- Research Awareness Projects due no later than 5:00 PM on December 3
- Videotaped guest presentation by opthamologist likely on December 3
- Blindfold Day is December 3
- Comprehensive final examination is likely at 10: 30 Tuesday, December 16. Usually RAPs are graded and ready to go back to students on that time also.
