Gwen Morgan - Peer review. Chair is Jackie Paxton. Peer review process. Requirements were discussed. Faculty Handbook is still the guiding document for peer review. 
Peer review has impacted NCATE standards.  ref. p15. Modeling best professional practices. 
Salmeri - Addressed peer review concerns.
State requires peer review.

Peer review committee meeting November 4, 1999 @ 3 p.m. 
Faculty handbook was consulted. Proposal was made to take suggestions for the process to the peer review committee.  Peer review committee will compile and collate. 
Portfolio committee - Final decision. 
Gwen wants to know what to tell student teachers.  Do students do portfolio or do they do senior paper? 
Ft. Smith favors portfolio. 
Discussion re: state guidelines of portfolio requirements. 
Gwen - What is communicated to student teachers for the next semester re: portfolios? 
We are going to tell them in these meetings that there will not be a formal research paper required there would be a portfolio that they will be guided through. Current research will be incorporated into portfolios if needed. 
Clearances from principals will be needed to sign off on videotaping of kids. 
David Bell - background and fingerprint check information. 
Early childhood security checks as an issue to be eligible for admission to Stage 2 of Elementary. 
TB tests are required yearly.
