Quality of Standards-Based Programs Assess what teacher candidates know and can do
(achievement of knowledge, performances, dispositions) in their respective
programs and their performance in the field (teaching skills and
dispositions). Program folios updated to reflect the use of
standards-based performance assessment. Recommendations to Unit for program consideration and
revision. Performance assessment will be used for annual reports,
state, association and university reviews. 2000-2001 Employing
Standards-Based Curriculum Employ standards-based performance tasks in all
programs. Employ standards-based rubrics in all programs. Provide continuing training and feedback to Unit and
P-12 faculty raters. Complete revision of performance assessment instruments
and evaluate alignment with conceptual framework and use at summative
decision points. Collaboration between Unit and stakeholders in
implementing Performance Evidence System. Processes and procedures for assessing performance tasks
and rubrics. 1999-2000 Developing
Standards-Based Programs Develop standards-based performance tasks throughout
programs with emphasis on real tasks in the field. Develop standards-based rubrics for all tasks throughout
programs. Train Unit and P-12 faculty as raters of performance and
assess reliability. Review existing performance assessment instruments;
revise and/or replace to align with conceptual framework, summative
decision points and standards.
