The School of Education at Arkansas Tech University is composed of the Department of Health and Physical Education, the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and the Center for Leadership and Learning and Department of College Student Personnel. The teacher licensure programs are approved by the Arkansas Department of Education and accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education at both the basic and advanced levels.

The Faculty of the School of Education are highly qualified and well respected in their fields. Approximately 95% of the faculty has earned doctorates from a wide variety of universities.

Our graduates have achieved a high degree of success. Honors include selection as the Outstanding Social Studies Teacher in Arkansas, the Outstanding Band Director in Arkansas and nomination Arkansas Teacher of the Year. One graduate was selected for the faculty of the Disney School of Excellence in Florida.

All faculty members have PK-12 teaching experience appropriate to their teaching assignments and continue to work closely with public schools and other educational agencies.
